Terms and conditions

Bookings are given as an arrival time and not a jumping time. While we absolutely endeavour to complete your skydive as quickly as possible, we require you to be available for up to four hours after your arrival time as there are many elements involved in the process we cannot control. This can include, weather, wind, cloud, rain, turbulence, air traffic, unexpected or unplanned equipment issues. To ensure we can conduct your skydive as quickly as possible, we may require you to be at the airport (DZ) or very nearby - failure to be present when we have a window to jump will count as a no show.

Failing to be at the DZ at your scheduled arrival time or when asked to attend the DZ by Skydive 12 Apostles staff during the four hours from your scheduled arrival time will result in a 100% cancellation fee.

Participants must not consume alcohol or recreational drugs for 12 hours prior to their skydive. Not even just “a pot/glass of wine with lunch”. This is for several safety reasons and is a requirement of the Australian Parachute Federation. We reserve the right to conduct breath alcohol analysis on anyone intending to jump. Attempting to jump having consumed alcohol or recreational drugs in the previous 12 hours or appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Failing to go through with the jump after boarding the aircraft will incur the full cost of the experience and no refund will be given.

Safety is our number one priority and as such we may have to refuse to take people with some medical conditions or people on some medications. We want to be able to take you though! If you have any medical issues you are concerned about, please call us and we can assess it over the phone or in person before we take any money for your jump.

The maximum passenger weight we are able to take is 100kgs. Anyone over 90kgs is subject to an assessment by Skydive 12 Apostles staff for safety reasons - again, we want to be able to take you, but we will need to make sure we can all be safe while we do it.

Australian Parachute Federation rules state all tandem passengers must be aged 16 and over. Anyone under the age of 18 will need their parents permission. Parents can attend the DZ or Skydive 12 Apostles staff may ask for documented proof to ensure parental consent.

If the skydive is cancelled due to elements outside the control of Skydive 12 Apostles, weather, etc, you will need to rebook. Refunds are only given to customers who can provide evidence of leaving the country.

Gift vouchers are valid forever and are completely transferrable, but are non-refundable 14 days after purchase.

Media packages are uploaded to the internet and beloved customers are sent links to download them. Links are valid for three months. If you aren’t able to download it in that time, we can try to upload it again, but we don’t promise to keep footage for longer than three months after your jump (probably we do, but we can’t promise). We can’t offer a refund on footage not downloaded.

Any refunds given can take up to 21 days (usually 5 to 10, though) and are ultimately on the timeline of our payment provider, Stripe - once the money leaves our account, we cannot control how long it will take to reach yours.. All refunds are given in AUD amounts - we are not responsible for any shifts in foreign currency value between original purchase and any refund.

Any refunds due to weather or cancellation on our part will be for the whole amount. Any refunds due to change of mind or plans on your part will be less the transaction fees we incur accepting your original payment - around 2% and may be subject to an admin fee.

COVID-19 STUFF!

Covid-19 is bullshit.

Not in the it doesn’t exist and is a left wing conspiracy sense of it being bullshit, but in the it’s a terrible plague o’er humanity and has caused us to sit back for most of this last year and not get the stuff done we wanted to sense of it being bullshit. But! We’re better now (hooray!) and we can go about our lives again. Mostly. We need to make some concessions to the terrible plague though and make sure we keep ourselves safe and make sure the evil spectre of Covid doom is kept at bay.

We are all about Covid safety. Being able to jump out of planes is bona fide favour from the Gods. We have lots of rules we have to adhere to from external bodies and lots of rules we put on ourselves to make sure we are above and beyond the minimum standard and are our own level of super turbo safe. This applies to weather conditions, equipment standards, instructor training and, of course, Old Uncle Covid.

WHAT IS OUR COVID-19 PLAN?

KILL IT WITH FIRE

Well, the modern equivalent of the old school fire purification: disinfectants. We sanitise our hands, our gear, your gear, you, our plane, our building and anywhere we think the evil virus might be hiding, like that cabin out in the woods with the Free Candy sign.

The only things we can’t sanitise are our souls.

*sobs.

GEAR

Is skydiving stuff single use? No. We can’t use a harness just once, but we can give you gloves and a buff (basically a badass off road facemask) to use in the plane. They aren’t single use either, but they are washed and disinfected between uses. We have a giant pile of clean ones that have been Turbo Sanitised for you to use and then drop into the No Longer Turbo Sanitised pile after you’ve used them.

Turbo Sanitising is a proprietary process wholly owned by Skydive 12 Apostles and is in fact not available to anyone else on earth.*

*that’s not true, but it is still pretty Turbo. Just ask us.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

This is going to be a mainstay of normal life for a while yet, we suspect.

Our office is little, so we can only have like two people in there. That’s cool, it means we can really connect with each other and talk about your favourite animal, our favourite animal and all sorts of other stuff people do socially.

Can you bring friends? Of course! They’ll have to hang outside though. But watching you skydive from inside would be weird anyway, so that’s sweet.

COVID PLAN

We have a written Covid plan, as per Government requirements.

The police can ask to see it, if they like. You, our beloved customers, can ask to see it too. We’ll lend you a little police hat when you ask, so it’s all super legit.

Despite our flippant use of the word Turbo on this page, Covid and Covid safety is a huge one for us. Being able to operate is a privilege and one we take very seriously.

Privacy policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy (“Policy”). In order to make the Website and Services available to you, or to meet a legal obligation, we may need to collect and use certain Personal Information. If you do not provide the information that we request, we may not be able to provide you with the requested products or services. Note that under some legislations we may be allowed to process information until you object to such processing by opting out, without having to rely on consent or any other of the legal bases. In any case, we will be happy to clarify the specific legal basis that applies to the processing, and in particular whether the provision of Personal Information is a statutory or contractual requirement, or a requirement necessary to enter into a contract.

Disclosure of information

To maintain the highest level of privacy and to protect your Personal Information to the full extent, we do not share your Personal Information with any third parties.

However, we may also disclose any Personal Information we collect, use or receive if required or permitted by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

How browsers communicate the Do Not Track signal is not yet uniform. As a result, the Website and Services are not yet set up to interpret or respond to Do Not Track signals communicated by your browser. Even so, as described in more detail throughout this Policy, we limit our use and collection of your Personal Information. In the event of a data breach, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected individuals if we believe that there is a reasonable risk of harm to the User as a result of the breach or if notice is otherwise required by law. When we do, we will post a notice on the Website, send you an email, get in touch with you over the phone.

Changes and amendments

We reserve the right to modify this Policy or its terms related to the Website and Services at any time at our discretion. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We may also provide notice to you in other ways at our discretion, such as through the contact information you have provided.

An updated version of this Policy will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised Policy unless otherwise specified.
